The New 90210 TV Show

Posted March 22, 2008

The CW is in talks about making a spinoff from the widely popular 90’s tv show Beverly Hills 90210. Da da da da da…da.da…da da da da …DAH DAH!
“Veronica Mars” creator Rob Thomas is in talks to pen the project, which has been put on the fast track by the network. The spinoff would bring Thomas back to CW, where his acclaimed series “Veronica Mars” ended its three-year run last spring. This would be the second spinoff from “90210,” which aired on Fox from 1990-2000. The Star-created “Melrose Place” had a successful seven-year run on Fox. Tori Spelling, the daughter of the show’s creater and who also played Donna Martin in the series, said, “My dad always wanted to do a new version of 90210. I thought the new 90210 was called The OC?

“And I’d love to somehow be a part of it. That as well would make my dad proud,” Spelling, who is pregnant with her second child, enthuses. “Playing the funny sex ed teacher at the high school would be funny, too, considering Donna Martin was America’s most infamous virgin.” “The show was a huge part of my life. Ten years! I miss it dearly.” “I thought … it’s about time,” Spelling tells People.com. “I’m surprised it took this long for them to make a 90210 spinoff.”

And on what sort of role she intends to play, Tori explains: “Well, I am a mom now, proud to say, but obviously too young to have a teenager, so maybe I could be one of the main character’s young stepmom.

Tori, you horse faced never was nepotistic brat….GO AWAY!
