Heath Ledger Died Of A Drug Overdose

The 28-year-old Perth-born actor’s body was found in his apartment in New York. The New York Post said his apartment was strewn with pills, adding that it was unclear whether the death was intentional. Ledger was found dead in his bed in one of his residences in Soho by his housekeeper at 3.35pm New York time (7.35am AEDT).
According to the Associated Press, Ledger’s body was discovered by his housekeeper who came to tell him his masseuse had arrived for an appointment. Ledger has a two year old daughter with former fiancee Michelle Williams. He was set to play the Joker in the upcoming Batman film The Dark Knight. I will go on record saying that Heath Ledger was one of the best up-and-coming actors in Hollywood today. I know there is a 1000 and one Brokeback Mountain jokes out there, but Heath is….errr was PURE TALENT. Even in a crappy movie like Lords of Dogstown HIS performace was incredible. In a love story like Casonova, he was extremely likeable and believable. HE made that movie funny and watchable for men. And in one of the best movies of 2006, CANDY, Heath ’s character falls in love with an art student (Cornish) who gravitates to his bohemian lifestyle — and his love of heroin. THIS MOVIE WAS SO POWERFUL and dark, I could not finish it. It had me in tears. Heath you will be missed, RIP brother.
